SLIPPED AWAY FROM DEATH

Today is 2nd of October 2009. I am lucky to still be alive.

My lectures finished at 12 today, i then had a calculus tutorial from 2 until 3 pm.
I understood quite well and confident i'll do just fine for the quiz next week.
Head straight back to the parking lot, through the not-so-crowded elevator and the hills outside the campus. It was really sunny, my skins probably suffered sunburn but that didn't stop me from going home. It was rare that I CAN FINALLY GO HOME SOONER THAN USUAL.

"Baby I can see your halo, you know you're my saving grace" Beyonce's song was played along my way home.. Cruising along the highway, speeding from 80-110.. What a soothing journey to be in.. perfect for the afternoon. The air conditioner was on the whole time and it was pretty cool inside the car. Goodbye sunburn, i won't allow you stick around. In around 15 minutes, i paid the PONDOK RANJI toll and thats when the highway was starting to exhaust me. Drove a manual 29-year-old car, no power steering and it was a big sedan. You know how it felt... The legs just couldn't take it no more.

The situations then got worse. I got out via Pondok Indah and that's when the nightmare started. It was REALLY, and i meant REALLY.. CROWDED. Even more, it was flooding! Both with water and cars and motorbikes and busses and trucks and people. What the H***. Jakarta... will you ever change?
I struggled my way back through Pondok Indah, the cars were barely moving. It felt like i was slithering instead of crawling. In fact I'm sure the snake moved faster than me.. If there was a snake around.
The journed from Lebak Bulus to PIM took 45 minutes! T.I.R.E.D
I mumbled and was really pissed off. I tried to get home as soon as i can, but that was what i got. No wonder it is always a good idea to go home late, head back from the campus at 6 or 7 pm. With a frown on my face, and a blank stare.. I caught a glimpsed of a small child. He was skinny, tanned, short hair and saved by deep round eyes widely opened on his face.

The child approached each car one by one.. Starting from the front to the back while the red light seemed to froze. The face was bright though weary.. dirty and smug but the eyes won't stop talking. He raised his eyebrows every time he gazed into the cars.. Offering a newspaper that was barely interesting. Nobody seemed to care so he went on. Boy, he was tough, not even a frown on his face.. unlike me. He then reached my car, the window was slightly opened. He asked "Ka, mau beli korannya?"
"Berapaan sih dek korannya?" I asked back. He smiled.. "3 ribu ka".
I was touched by his eagerness and commitment to selling the newspaper. I bought it.
The boy, yes the boy.. had glee in his eyes and was very pleased. He then walked back to the side of the road, just in time for the green lights to show. I tuned into gear 1 and turned my face to the right. Stared back into the boy, he smiled to me.. I felt such a relieve and forgotten about the frown i had earlier. The day was suddenly bright again..

The traffic got worse and the lanes turned from 5 to 2. I was right on the 4th with another lane on my right and 3 lanes on my left. I tuned into gear 2 and a Blue Kijang Innova drove real close to my car. We were like an inch apart.

13th of May 2009

I started the day waking up at 5.
Plans for today, the last day at school.
My head was still woozy when my dad invited me to tag along, u know.. jog around the neighbourhood. So i did. We spent half an hour and my chest started burning (as usual), so we stopped and went back home. I was so laid back and knew that my exam will start at 10 am.
But vini text me and she said "come to the school now, english exam is being held", it was at 8 am. HMM OKAY WHAT THE HELL.
So i was late and i didn't care, well duuhh it wasn't my fault.
The plan was to meet up with Shofa, Esther, Kirana, Pia and Ayu at Clairmont bulungan in the morning, we were supposed to buy a cake and sign the birthday card for vini. Before school and before meeting up with vini in the classroom. BUT PLANS CHANGED, thanks to 'that sudden exam'. (sigh)
So i did the exam and thought of another plan. Then i decided to take vini downstairs as accompany for me in having breakfast while shofa kirana and esther signed the card secretly upstairs. But unfortunately esther followed us downstairs and she didn't get my favour, lol.
I had soto ayam in front of the school and i text kirana, shofa to start on the card. I did my part already. Pia did too fortunately, i wonder when.
When we finished, we went back to school and into the classroom. Few moments later Ayu came and luckily she was in the same class as me. I gave her the card for her to sign (FYI, vini was in the class next door with pia shofa esther and kirana).
>It was PENJASORKES EXAM.
The exam was silly, it was about drugs and aids. "What kind of drug is a blackheart? cocain, cannabis? how was i supposed to know? LOL.
The exam finished and so did the school hour. Everybody then gathered in XII international on the first floor while Esther and me escaped.
We walked ourselves to Parish (in front of RSPP), with the birthday card in my bag.
In Parish, Esther and I had a rough time. lol
We chose this small personal size cake, taste like coffee. it was latte, sorta caramel like.
WE WERE TOO EXCITED and decided to decor the cake ourselves.
How were we supposed to do that? starting from the font, 'vini' written on it, the sprinkles, the candles. We sprinkled some here and there, put bits and bits. Stabbed the candles and squeezed the cream, we argued and discuss. Lots of chit chat and laugh, when suddenly..
SQUASH. The cake fell right to the floor. It also did made a stain on my skirt. A RAINBOW STAIN. "nice"
Esther cracked up and i was still freezed to surprised. AAAAAAAAAAAA DARN IT.
The shopkeeper even laughed and made a sneezy comment, lol.
Esther was still cracking up and i was feeling tingly as well. it was stupid and silly and too much. a disaster. we had to start over and bought another cake.
The second cake, oh yes the second cake was white. White chocolate, with a rough and melted surface, yummy..
We learned how to decor the cake and yes it turned out simple but pretty. We finally did the right thing and was quite satisfied. Then we walked back to the school with both cake in hands. The messed up one and the good one.
At school, the girls were at the canteen. Esther and I met Misu and borrowed his lighter, then we took the way through the north wing. The one near 'lapangan ABC' and hid behind the pantry. Esther then called kirana and asked them three (shofa ayu kirana) to come and meet us there while Pia stayed with vini in the canteen so she won't suspect anything.
Then the 5 of us lit the candles behind the pantry and brought the cake and sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY as we walked down the hallway to the canteen.
She was shocked in delight and yeaahh! we rocked, lol. She blew the candles, took pictures and it was a moment.
Moments after that, we all went to the mosque but before hand made a stop by at PMR. Hung out, took shots and snacks. We had extras "reina sahap bella avi". Then somehow, vini got a bless. She was introduced with her EHEM EHEM, and AWESOME! she was super glad i bet. Sahap took candids of her and looottss... THEN THEN, her crush came back and congrats her for birthday, cieeeee vini!! hihihi
WE WERE ALL VERY HAPPY FOR U DEAR.
The other awesome thing that happened was...
At the end of the day, Esther, Pia, Vini and I stayed till noon at school.
Another surprise was in process.
Remember the messed up cake? oh yeaa we still have it. Still in hands.
We made it seemed like there was nothing up but then we managed to smashed the cake to vini! HOORRAYY!! i took the shots cause i thought i'd be safe, after all it was her camera that i was holding. hihihih
She ran around with esther chasing after her crazily. hahaha
pia was sorta calm thought she got a treat as well. hahaha
It was kinda hectic and noisy but booyyy oh i love my girls.
The laughs that i won't forget.
Then we all went to McD and had Mcflurry, both caramel and coffee was it?
hahaha
Thank you girls for making my day, and for being on my back for the last 3 years! CHEERS

Dooms day

It was a living nightmare.
I was standing in the middle of a field.
It was wide, dry and yellow.
It was more like the beach with sand but no seas. No coastline but the horizon line was clear. It was flat, no hills and no mountains.
No water, just sand and the people around.

Sand, the grains got stuck into the cuticles of my toes. The softness and the warmth as i rest my cracked heels on the sandy ground was somehow soothing.
The heat, the sweat secreted from my skin.
No wind was blown, it was a complete silence.
I was lost in translation, full of questions and fear. Did not know what i was afraid of. One thing for sure, the only thing i knew for certain was the fact that EVERYONE was staring at one thing in the sky.

I stopped gazing at a circular thing in the sky and took a moment to look at everybody. They had fright in their eyes and they were as confused as I was. But nobody trembled and nobody cried. There was not any smile and glee from their eyes. It was confusing so I gazed back into the sky.

The circular thing, yes that circular thing. Round and big, red with blazes. It was moving down slowly. It was more like the sun but it was also like a shooting star at a very low speed.
I did not know what it was so i made an assumption. It was a big a deal and I assumed that it was a shooting star. I closed my eyes and made a wish. Thought of the words from people "Make a wish when u see a shooting star, soon your wish will come true ", and so i did.
I asked my self and wished "Will I go to heaven, please?". I opened my eyes and noticed that the star stopped. It did not continue its way to set in the horizon line like sunset neither did it disappear like a shooting star. It in fact moved right back up as if it was informing "No dear, you won't go to heaven". I was shocked, a very 'great' shock. I got myself bursting into tears in an instant. I was shaking and VERY TERRIFIED. My legs, lucky i managed to stay standing. Then I asked "Well then will I go to hell?" and yes, IT CAME RIGHT BACK DOWN EXACTLY LIKE A SHOOTING STAR! GOSH!

So it was OBVIOUSLY telling me "Yes you are going to hell, dear".
I CRIED MY EYES OFF and fell. I was not able to feel anymore, my legs and my hands. It felt like i was a living corpse.
The situation then became very chaotic and hectic. All the people was screaming and running around like animals. The sun exploded and a massive meteor shower.
The fire balls showering the land, aiming at people like cannon balls.
There were blazes everywhere, people running around with burning faces. Some of them shouted, crying out "Allahu Akbar!". Some also shouted "Anjing anjing anjing!". One by one everyone died. Torn clothes and torn flesh, i saw the whole thing and i kept crying.
I was safe somehow but i was still there and then I woke up. It was all a dream.
It was a warning for me and it changed my point of view.
From that night on, i had decided to be the girl that I am today.

What is leaking??

Bubble thoughts popped in head.
Curiosity and anxiety.. why does this head won't shut up?
